Being a student at Mortimer means a great deal. Pride, respect, ambition and resilience are a few characteristics that we look to build in our students. We provide a quality education that includes challenge, enjoyment and support both inside and outside of the classroom. I have very high expectations of the young people who attend our school and of the dedicated staff who already work here.
I look for support from home in order that all of our students can flourish whilst they are in our care. As you can see on our twitter feed, we always have exciting and challenging opportunities available for our students to access.
If you would like to arrange for a tour of the school in the school day, please do not hesitate to contact the school and a senior member of staff, or our transition manager, will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have. One of the services they provide is a drop off and collection via an on-site gate which connects Mortimer Community College and Mortimer Primary School.
Children can be dropped off from am, They can collect your child after their nursery session and can provide a late collection time of up to pm each day. Here is a link to their prices and services provided. If you are eligible for 30 hours support with your nursery funding then you can also split the funding across two settings. So for example if you are successful in securing a morning place for nursery you can use your remaining hours across another setting such as Bright Kids.
We understand that starting nursery is a nervous time not only for your child but also you as the parent. In the summer term before your child starts nursery you will be invited to an open evening where you can meet the staff and have a look around our setting. You will also be invited to sign up for a home visit, this will allow your child to meet two of the nursery staff they will be working with but is also a chance for you to have an informal chat to the staff about your child and if you have any worries, concerns or questions they can help to answer them there.
Your child will be invited during the summer term for a small introduction session at the nursery. This allows them to see their new nursery and explore, we ask parents to stay for this session.
